SUMMARY:Hana Stretton
DESCRIPTION:We are stoked to be working with Jet Black Cat again to present Hannah Stretton with Alice Barlow. \n\n\n\nHana Stretton is an accomplished Australian-British multi-instrumentalist\, songwriter & producer. Born and raised on a farm in New South Wales\, Hana’s early life was steeped in natural beauty and isolation\, which has become the influence for much of her music. Her work reflects a deep connection to her roots. \n\n\n\nHana made her debut record\, Soon\, outside\, in still moments after fires and wild storms had raged through her home in the Australian bush. Completely isolated with just her beloved cows and a few instruments\, recording music became a way to pass the hours. The album was self-released in January 2023\, with a vinyl run by boutique Australian label brierfield flood press. The following year\, P.W. Elverum & Sun (the private press of Phil Elvrum aka Mount Eerie) re-issued a special edition vinyl\, selling out almost instantly. Upon release\, Elvrum explained his admiration for Hana’s music: “I hear an artist who has entered completely into the stream where creation originates […] Hana Stretton has truly recorded the deep flourishing sound of a quiet listening mind in full blossom.” \n\n\n\nAlice Barlow is a singer-songwriter\, composer and producer from South East London known for her captivating live performances. Drawing on folk\, indie and alternative influences – her dark guitar tones\, haunting vocals and unique ear for melody have built a loyal following in London and beyond. With new singles on the way\, she is set to release her eagerly awaited debut album on Domino Records this winter. This will be her first time in Australia. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGang Gang is committed to an inclusive and safe experience for all. Gang Gang Cafe is wheelchair accessible with accessible restrooms. We have zero tolerance for harassment and have support measures in place to ensure everyone’s safety. For specific accessibility needs or assistance\, please contact us in advance. We aim to make our events enjoyable for everyone. \n\n\n\nGang Gang Cafe acknowledges the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people\, the Traditional Custodians of the land where our events take place. We pay our respects to their Elders past\, present\, and emerging\, and recognise their enduring connection to this land\, waters\, and culture. We are grateful to celebrate music and dance on Ngunnawal Country.

SUMMARY:Cut Worms (USA) with special guest John Andrews (USA)
DESCRIPTION:Transmitter is Max Clarke’s fourth full length record as Cut Worms\, due out March 13th via JagJaguwar. Produced by Jeff Tweedy at Wilco’s Loft studio\, Transmitter marks a deepening of Clarke’s abilities and the convergence of two artists whose work searches for grace amid dislocation. Together\, they conjure the ecstatic spirits of power pop and alt rock\, expanding Cut Worms’ vintage palette while reaffirming his gift for timeless songwriting. \n\n\n\nWhile Clarke’s voice and writing formed the framework\, Tweedy’s guitar and bass lines sketched the rooms the songs inhabit. Tweedy’s presence as a producer revealed itself not in heavy-handed choices but in how he coloured spaces and continually offered new textures. Between them\, their like-minded sensibilities bridged a generational gap to create something more nuanced than either might have made alone. \n\n\n\nNow several albums into his career\, Clarke stands fully in command of his craft\, resonating at his own frequency. What began as a passion for bygone pop has matured into a study of endurance itself\, confirming him as a singer-songwriter of lasting depth. Transmitter finds Clarke in full stride\, writing with the conviction of someone who’s made peace with uncertainty. These songs reckon with the cost of comfort and return to the idea that beauty\, connection\, and love are not luxuries but necessities for survival. \n\n\n\nJohn Andrews has spent the past few years tucked away in Red Hook\, Brooklyn – a neighborhood that sits just beyond the natural drift of the city. Once shaped by maritime industry and later a haven for artists in search of vast warehouse space\, its history and isolation give it a quiet magnetism. Streetsweeper\, the fifth album by John Andrews & The Yawns\, reflects that vantage point-tranquil\, self-contained\, and curious about the movements most people overlook. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGang Gang is committed to an inclusive and safe experience for all. Gang Gang Cafe is wheelchair accessible with accessible restrooms. We have zero tolerance for harassment and have support measures in place to ensure everyone’s safety. SUMMARY:Miss Kaninna
DESCRIPTION:Sometimes we have people play at the cafe who have such an impact that it’s a little bittersweet\, they’re so good that they’re going to be too big for us to ever get them back. Miss Kaninna was one of those sets at our festival Sundowner. She has been blowing up ever since (supported Kneecap in the UK/Europe) and we are so stoked she is keen to come back.Miss Kaninna \n\n\n\nMiss Kaninna is a First Nations artist whose music\, voice\, and presence have made her one of \n\n\n\nthe most compelling figures in so-called Australian music today. Hailing from Bruny Island\, \n\n\n\nTasmania\, she is of Yorta Yorta\, Dja Dja Wurrung\, Kalkadoon\, and Yirendali heritage. She made \n\n\n\nhistory in 2024 with her debut single\, Blak Britney\, earning three ARIA nominations\, including \n\n\n\nBest Independent Release\, becoming the first independent Aboriginal woman nominated for an \n\n\n\nARIA for a debut single. The track reached #1 on triple j\, featured in Netflix’s Heartbreak High \n\n\n\nand was named by Rolling Stone as one of the Best Australian & NZ Songs of the 21st Century\, \n\n\n\nmarking a critical and cultural breakthrough. \n\n\n\nHer debut EP\, KANINNA\, followed to critical acclaim\, winning Best Independent Hip-Hop \n\n\n\nEP/Album and Breakthrough Independent Artist of the Year at the 2025 Australian Independent \n\n\n\nMusic (AIR) Awards\, and receiving an ARIA nomination for Best Hip-Hop Release. \n\n\n\nIn late 2025\, Miss Kaninna took her music overseas\, joining Irish rappers Kneecap\, for an \n\n\n\n18-date sold out tour across the UK and Europe. From Amsterdam to Glasgow\, her ferocious \n\n\n\ncharisma\, rage\, and resistance made every performance an uncompromising statement of \n\n\n\nidentity and truth. \n\n\n\nAt home\, she has supported Amyl and the Sniffers\, Hiatus Kaiyote and M.I.A\, whilst sharing \n\n\n\nstages with Stormzy\, Steve Lacy\, and Raye on the 2024 Laneway Festival tour. She was named \n\n\n\ntriple j Unearthed Artist of the Year\, received SXSW Sydney’s inaugural Justin Cosby Award for \n\n\n\nBest New Talent\, and was included in NME’s 2025 Essential 100 Emerging Artists. In 2026\, \n\n\n\nAmazon named her one of their Global Artists to Watch. \n\n\n\nMiss Kaninna’s reputation as a live performer rests on her ability to hold space\, rousing rage \n\n\n\nand joy in equal measure. Floating effortlessly between Hip-Hop\, R&B\, rock and pop\, her \n\n\n\ngenre-defying approach to performance provides a staunch foundation for a new artist with an \n\n\n\nurgency for change. With activism a crucial thread in her lineage and her art\, contributing her \n\n\n\nplatform and support to marginalised communities form a vital part of her practise. In 2025 she \n\n\n\nspearheaded the creation of Sovereign Day Out – a festival to uplift First Nations people \n\n\n\nfollowing a white supremacist attack on sacred land – and continues ongoing work with \n\n\n\ninitiatives supporting Indigenous\, immigrant\, LGBTQI+ and women’s rights. \n\n\n\nWith each milestone and movement\, Miss Kaninna continues to solidify her place as an artist \n\n\n\nwhose voice and presence command attention. She is a cultural leader\, a creative force\, and a \n\n\n\nperformer whose influence extends far beyond the stage.

SUMMARY:Leah Senior
DESCRIPTION:Australian folk diviner Leah Senior makes her way to Canberra with her band in June to launch her fifth studio album Pt. Roadknight.Pt. Roadknight explores Leah’s introspective\, nature-loving side while honing the singular baroque psych folk that has captivated listeners around the world. While the style and instrumentation of ‘70s Brit folk are touchstones on Senior’s forthcoming album\, her disarming lyrics are fresh and wholehearted\, wrestling with modern concerns of gentrification and isolation while finding solace in the quiet beauty of the Victoria surf coast town where she lives. \n\n\n\nA shining star of the Australian folk scene for the past decade\, Leah Senior’s past four records have received critical acclaim from global media and radio stations\, with Leah touring extensively\, sharing stages with the likes of Wilco\, Iron & Wine\, Simon Joyner\, Jessica Pratt\, and King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard.  \n\n\n\nThe new album Pt. Roadknight marks an exciting new chapter in Leah Senior’s musical journey\, affirming her as one of Australia’s most authentic folk storytellers.

SUMMARY:Shock Corridor - Album Tour with Dumbhead
DESCRIPTION:Naarm/Melbourne sextet Shock Corridor announce a national tour in support of their self-titled debut album\, due August 12. The run opens August 28 at Melbourne’s Thornbury Theatre and winds through Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory\, Canberra\, Adelaide\, Wonder Mountain Festival in Beechworth\, Castlemaine and Brisbane through late September with a one-off Sydney show at Phoenix Central Park on June 24 to preview the record in full. \n\n\n\nThe album was tracked over seven days at Soundpark Studios with producer Dan Luscombe\, a name synonymous with the last decade of Australian guitar music for his work with the Drones\, Amyl and the Sniffers\, Courtney Barnett and Floodlights\, and mixed by Aaron Cupples (Spiritualized\, Tropical Fuck Storm\, Kirin J Callinan). \n\n\n\nFormed in 2019 by six friends with backgrounds in classical strings\, jazz\, hip-hop and DIY electronics\, the band\, George (vocals\, guitar)\, Saskia (violin\, vocals)\, Joe (synth\, drum machine\, trumpet)\, Henry (bass\, trumpet)\, Ari (guitar) and Paddy (drums)\, refined a startlingly singular palette through long lockdown rehearsals before emerging onto the Naarm circuit in 2023. Their music borrows the spectral patience of the Dirty Three\, the trip-hop weight of Massive Attack and the pent-up theatricality that Australian post-punk seems to manufacture in unusual quantities. Songs build slowly; eruptions\, when they come\, feel earned. \n\n\n\nEarlier singles “Buster” and “Sheet Metal” pulled support from BBC 6 Music\, METAL\, ASBO and the Line of Best Fit\, while FBi Radio recently named the group their Independent Artist of the Week. In December the band sold out The Night Cat (650 capacity) at home and have shared stages with Bleak Squad at the Melbourne Recital Centre and Floodlights on the road. \n\n\n\n“We kept the record self-titled because it felt like the widest possible foundation of what Shock Corridor is. A lot of it was written while the world felt increasingly unstable — there was this constant feeling of helplessness\, but also a desire to stay connected to the people around you. The album lives in that tension.”
